BIOservicES
BIOservicES (Linking soil biodiversity and ecosystem functions and services in different land uses: from the identification of drivers, pressures and climate change resilience to their economic valuation)
The EU-funded BIOservicES project is tackling the hidden crisis of declining soil health. Soils, vital for ecosystems, are under increasing pressure from land use changes, mismanagement, and climate change. BIOservicES aims to understand the complex relationship between soil organisms, land use, management practices, and climate change. The project will identify the factors impacting soil life, develop new indicators and digital tools, and create models for climate-resilient land management. It will also collaborate across multiple experimental sites to achieve its goals.
