IcARUS
In order to initiate an effective transformation of urban safety policies, the EU-funded IcARUS project aims to address urban safety issues by proposing an integrated, evidence-based and multi-stakeholder approach. This approach will rethink the tools of urban safety policy and will be based on a vision that combines prevention and sanctions aimed at improving social cohesion. Over time, this vision will help shape a common approach to security in the European Union. The project will encourage local communities to become an active part of multi-sectoral governance to improve urban safety and harness social and technological innovation.
